"Home, is where I wanna be but I guess I'm already there" 4/8

Well here we go again. Packed our life into a bag, booked a ticket and headed south for yet another adventure/life experience. Roatan, Honduras was amazing. All things considered, it was as magical as it could have possibly been and will forever hold a special place in my heart-I look forward to the day I will return to that beautiful place and re-unite with all the beautiful people we became friends with while living there.

We trained to become AIDA two star free divers with one of the best in the world-Walid Boudhiaf. We also worked numerous jobs, all on the water, that allowed us to experience the most beautiful parts of the island while getting paid for it! Tax free I might add ;) We were able to spend time in/with the majestic islands and people of Cayos Cochinos with our amazing captain/fisherman friend, Cuny. A place so exclusive and remote that electricity is not a necessity-at least not on the cay of Chachuate. I would say more about "said" places but the truth is that words don't do them any justice-nor do photos or video. You must indeed live this place, see the sights and smell the smells, in order to truly experience it.

After a 24 hour, interesting and stressful trip back to the states, along with Lua my service animal of course, we arrived in Cocoa Beach where I was able to sneak in some surf, fishing, family/friend time and say goodbye to my grandfather ( a pillar of all those things) who passed away only days later.

Off to St.Thomas U.S.V.I for now-or at least a year this time. (BTW- don't ever fly Spirit; I had to remove from box and disassemble my juicer so they would allow me to take it on the plane. I got so desperate at one point that I asked if my service dog was allowed a carry on/personal item). Anyway, as much as we love our gypsy ways we are eager to hang our backpacks up for a while and stay long enough to experience the winds changing without blowing us along with them. I am also eager to see our few friends we have awaiting our arrival there-I have found that no matter how isolated a place may appear to be, we have a friend wherever we go.

After a three hour delay (thanks Spirit ;) and three medio bottles of cab, we are about to touch down in St.Thomas where LUA can use the bathroom for the first time in 15 hours. From one Island to the next-and to the next- I feel as though I will most likely always be surrounded by sand and most importantly, water. This girl's compass only heads south and I hope yours will too, at least for a visit.

If only we could put our life experiences on our resumes--I don't know about you but mine is pretty sorry without them.
